From the underdog comin up

Now a days it's all about the fashion, the glamour,
The fame, the wealth
Never took a business class but here's to marketing ourselves
Askin him, yeah do I look alright?
Do I say the right things for you to come over tonight?
Cause I'm constantly trying for your sought-after approval
Hair done nails done, wardrobe renewal
But in the end I wish the roles were switched,
Change of direction
Grew up a pair of X's
Victim of natural selection
Cause you can stand there with your hand on your crotch
Misdemeanors, slick moves, callin the shots
But see me,
I'm just another set of tits
Full lips
Lipstick
Hit it and quit
But watch out for these stillettos
Cause I'll make sure they settle
Right where it hurts
They say a women's compassion comes first
But sometimes mine doesn't work
Like the words of a woman with something to speak
Unless accompanied by song
Made to be sweet
But man I just wanna tell you
I got it bad for you boy, no lie
But who would listen
If I don't have it harmonize
So instead
I kept these words in my head
The ones that kept me awake in bed
Going over what needs to be said
When you were the only audience I ever really needed
But that would be showing my vulnerable side
And something tells me you never cared to see it.
